Welcome
Welcome to the Regional Training Center for Parallel Processing
(RTCPP) site. This is an ARCHIVAL site. The project is closed.
The content of this site is not being updated anymore.
The Center was established to further the use of
parallel processing. RTCPP provided an advanced network-based
environment for learning about parallel computing, as well as
a facility for construction of customized lessons and courses
on parallel processing based on a collection of reusable lesson
elements. WLS system is RTCPP legacy. It is in daily use at NC State as a
syncrhonous and asynchronous distance education tool. To learn more about
WLS got to [THIS SITE].
- Education: Our site
contains a large collections of lessons on a wide variety of current
topics in parallel processing, such as HPF, MPI, PVM, and Metacomputing.
Lessons are presented using HTML documents with synchronized audio.
- Workshops: Find out
what was talked about at the "NSF MRA Train-the-Trainer Workshops
on Parallel Processing." Listen to experts talking about
how teach parallel processing and how new technology can make
the teaching process easier.
- Software Technology:
Find out how to effectively deliver educational material across
the Internet. Some of the tools used to create this site are
available for free!
