IFIP WG 2.5 meeting will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA. Raleigh is the state capital and part of the world-renowned Research Triangle. Research Triangle is home to leading technology firms, government organizations and world-class universities and medical centers. It is an area often recognized as one of the best places to live in the U.S., and one of the places with the highest concentration of information technology oriented work-force. It is a place where southern hospitality blends with uptown amenities to create a dynamic region that delights visitors with its rich history, superb museums, thriving cultural and entertainment scene and first-rate sports, recreation, shopping and restaurants.

Museums and Government

The hotel is within walking distance of the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, the North Carolina Museum of History [admission free], and the interactive Exploris Museum.  An IMAX Theatre is located at Exploris. The hotel is also close to the State Capitol and State Legislature's Buildings.  Tours of the State Capitol and Legislative Buildings can be scheduled but must be scheduled two weeks in advance.

The City Market is within walking distance and offers Artspace (where dozens of artists have their studios and can be found either working there or just conversing with guests about their pieces) and other restaurants, bars, galleries and specialty boutiques The North Carolina Museum of Art [admission free] is approximately six miles away.
