His interests include [Software Engineering] (software and system process and risk management, testing, reliability, fault-tolerance, security), [Scientific Computing] (numerical software and computing, high-performance computing, "cloud computing." distributed systems and grids, scientific problem-solving workflows, bioninformatics, biophysics, physics), [Information Technology (IT) and Education] (IT work-force, IT-assisted education, distance learning and training), and [Networking] (end-to-end quality of service, security, forward error correction, empirical evaluation of networking solutions). One of his inter-disciplinary research interests is [Coding Theory] and its use in both communications and biology. |
